Moon is a 2009 science fiction film directed by Duncan Jones and written by Nathan Parker. This film tells the story of an industry that has succeeded in making progress when the world is hit by the oil crisis, by building a place on the moon that is used to mine alternative energy for the earth. This energy is Helium-3 which is used in reactors and power plants for human life.

In this film there is an astronaut named Sam Bell, he works alone on the moon by mining all the things that are there and then sending Helium-3 to earth. Communication on the moon to earth is disturbed so that he cannot contact his wife. Sam Bell lives with a robot named Gerty. Sam Bell has a twin that turns out to be a real clone of Sam Bell. This cloning was carried out by Gerty at the behest of his superiors on earth so that Sam Bell's employment contract could be renewed for 3 years.

Unlike fiction science films in general, which emphasize the most sophisticated effects of futuristic objects, film Moon shows more about the scientific and psychological aspects of humans in them. For science fiction lovers who prioritize the content of the story, they will like this film. During 93 minutes the audience will be treated to a story about the lonely, stressed, self-confessed appearance of Sam Bell. The audience can also learn science through this film, including knowing life on the moon that has little gravity, recognizing the function of Helium-3 as energy that can be used in reactors and power plants, and the application of modern biotechnology in the form of cloning through DNA replication. Although at the beginning of the film it felt boring because the background shown seemed monotonous, but the film can attract attention when the psychological story began to be lifted.

This film is good for anyone to watch, which can be used as entertainment as well as learning. An interesting and unpredictable storyline will make the audience think. The script writer in this film also managed to bring a series of conflicts that made the storyline more alive.
